Australia Permanent Residence Visa

Australia Skilled Migration Requirements:

  1. Age: The aspiring applicant must be below the age of 50.
  2. Nominated Occupation: You must have sufficient experience and qualifications to support the Nominated Skilled Occupation List.
  3. Language Proficiency: To work there you must have competent levels of English language that is mostly tested through IELTS.
  4. Qualifications: You must have required qualifications to support the Nominated Skilled Occupation.
  5. Skills Assessment: A relevant assessing authority must assess your skills. There would be a designated head for specific skills assessment.
  6. Health Assessment: You must clear all medical checks by doctor on the panel.
  7. Character Assessment: This is also checked and you must pass the assessment. There is an Australian Skill Immigration Points Based Selection where you will have to score a minimum on each assessing criteria listed above and other assessing criteria.

Skilled Regional Subclass Visa - 489

This is a temporary visa categorized under the Skilled Migration. Eligible candidate have to submit details online in the electronic system. Moreover, they must be willing to work and live in a Regional or Low Population Growth Area for as long as the visa is valid which can also be four years. The aspirating overseas Australia Skilled Worker must be nominated by an Australian state/ territory or must be sponsored by an eligible relative. The relative who sponsors the candidate must also be residing in the designated region. Also, the visa applicant’s eligible family members come under the same visa as Australia PR Visa.

Requirements for Australia Skilled Regional Subclass Visa – 489

  1. An Australian state /territory government must nominate such visa aspirants. An eligible relative may also sponsor such Candidates.
  2. This visa requires you to apply through Skill Select – an electronic points based selection system.
  3. The candidate who wishes to apply for this visa may do so while he is within the country or outside too.
  4. The state/ territory nominates candidate to live & work in a ‘Regional or Low Population Growth Areas in Australia ’ for up to a period of 4 years.
  5. Candidate must prove the information he has entered while submitting the ‘Expression of Interest’.

Note:- Visa Applications are only through ‘Invitation to Apply

Basic Requirements for ‘Invitation to Apply’:

  1. Related work experience that is on the Australia Skilled Occupations List for the nominated occupation.
  2. The relevant assessing head for the Nominated Occupation List must do a Skills Assessment.
  3. You will only receive the ‘Invitation to Apply’ if you have submitted the ‘Expression of Interest’ EOI.

Basic Requirements to Qualify ‘Expression of Interest’:

  1. Candidates must be between the age of 18 to 50 (not touched 50) at the time you receive the Invitation To Apply.
  2. The minimum pass score for this is 60 on the points -based assessment system.
  3. Candidate must meet and prove all the basic requirements for Skilled Migration:
    1. Health/Medical Check
    2. Character Check
    3. English Language Requirement (In some scenarios this criteria is not required so contact your Australia Visa & Immigration Consultants for details).

There are also some obligations that the candidate has to fulfil as per the requirement such as Visa Obligation:

  1. There are certain obligations that the candidate must fulfil required by the State/ Territory that nominates him/her.
  2. Candidates must notify the State /territory regarding any changes in case of moving.
  3. Remain within the territory/ state for a minimum period of 2 years.
  4. Sometimes the candidate is required to provide information or complete surveys.

Skilled Independent Visa (subclass 189)

This visa is a Permanent Work Visa category called the Australia Skilled Independent Visa – Subclass 189 . There is an annual roll -out for shortage of labor force requiring specific skills. Overseas individuals who qualify for the same may fill up these vacancies in Australia. For acquiring this visa, the aspiring candidate has to score a minimum of 60 points in the SkillSelect. This is not a sponsored visa meaning that the candidates do not need any sort of sponsorship from either Australian state or Australian territory.

Basic Requirements for Australia Skilled Independent Visa

  1. The Visa applicant’s age must be 18 and less than 50 years at the time.
  2. They should meet certain qualifications that is required for the specific skill.
  3. The skills experience must be related to or experienced on the SOL Skilled Occupations List.
  4. They must at least have English language skills of ‘competent’ level.
  5. The candidates must get a positive Skills Assessment by a relevant authority for the specified Skilled Occupation.

Skilled Nominated Visa (subclass 190)

This is a Australia Permanent Visa for Skilled workers on nomination basis by a state /territory in Australia. Like other visas, there is an electronic selection system for this visa or a Points – Based Selection criteria. With this visa, the primary visa applicant and his family members that are eligible and included in the application may live and work in Australia for an indefinite time period.

Earlier, in the years 2012 to 2013, there were two other visas namely the Australia Skilled Sponsored (subclass 176) & another onshore Australia skilled sponsored (subclass 886). so, this Australia Skilled Nominated Subclass 190 Visa now takes their place.

Similar to all other visas based on points, the Subclass 190 Visa also requires the candidate to first submit the details online through EOI (Expression of Interest). A candidate who wishes to apply for this visa category may do so online via Skill Select. He or she may either do so while in Australia or even outside of Australia.

After the eligible candidate meets all the requirements and is nominated by a certain region in Australia which may be a state or territory, then he receives the ‘Invitation to Apply’.
